The very first is obvious during diabetes, our body felt fatigue mainly due to the absence of ATP(energy). There is no proper conversion of glucose into energy. The macula is central yellowish part of the retina that helps in the formation of a sharp and central image. Wavy vision and the inability of the eye to distinguish between color are some of its symptoms. In Diabetes, High increasements in blood sugar cause the thickness of blood. This thick blood pulled fluid from neighboring tissues including macula. Thus macula swells due to of fluid affecting our ability to focus the image.
  • Proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR) –  New blood vessels begin to grow on the surface of the retina in a gel like fluid filled in the back medically known as vitreous humor. These small blood vessels causes could cause cloudy or blurred vision when they leak blood and other fluid causing swelling of retinal tissue.
