Diabetes is a chronic disease. Increased blood sugar causes diabetes.

Glucose is a sugar molecule derived from carbohydrate, glucose in the blood called blood sugar.It is possible when the pancreas does not produce insulin or our body lost ability to use insulin effectively.

Mechanisms of the body during diabetes.

  • We know very well that we eat food to gain energy. The food converted to glucose.
  • The pancreas secretes insulin at that time
  • Insulin helps glucose by opening the cells.
  • Glucose goes inside the cell by passing cell membrane.
  • Mitochondria converted this glucose into ATP (adenosine triphosphate), i.e., the energy that we used.
  • But in case of diabetes, this mechanism failed due to lack of insulin.
